Skateboarding isn’t just about tricks it’s about control. The key is foot placement and balance. Keep your front foot near the bolts, your back foot on the tail, and bend your knees to absorb shocks. Whether you’re cruising or learning your first ollie, remember: smooth weight shifts are your best friend.

What’s the first trick you think every skater should learn?

I agree with you. Most skating progression comes down to balance, foot placement, and learning how to shift weight without overcorrecting. The fundamentals matter more than chasing harder tricks too early.

For a first trick, the ollie is still the foundation. It teaches timing, board control, pop, and commitment.
